Dr. Ron Paul Supports Anti-Aging Medicine
I first became disenfranchised with the political process back in the 1960s. Shortly thereafter I entirely stopped paying it any mind at all and in all this time since I have never missed it once… Therefore, I have to admit to being largely ignorant when it comes to the state of modern politics today. If someone were to ask me my opinion about one politician or another, I would tell them that in my experience, “politicians promise the world in order to get elected, but seldom deliver on those promises, and usually, somehow manage to make things a little bit worse for all their trouble before they are done”. That was before I met Ron Paul.
I was understandably reluctant to listen when members of my staff began telling me of how excited they were that Presidential candidate Ron Paul was to appear at this years annual A4M convention. They told me about some of his policies and I was impressed, but unconvinced that a candidate could make it very far on a platform that seeks to remove so much power from the central government. My staff though, like an ever growing segment of people all over America remained resolute that Ron Paul was indeed their man. I became intrigued that a politician could capture such loyalty from such an independently minded group as my staff.
So I took time out from my busy A4M conference schedule to attend Dr. Ron Paul’s speech and I’m glad I did. Dr. Ron Paul’s views on the future of medicine in America are very much in line with my personal beliefs. The fact that Pharmaceutical companies dictate American medical policies has been a thorn in my side for a very long time. The fact that our government has bestowed on itself the right to dictate which science is valid and which is not is an even bigger thorn. Speaking of these problems in a public forum is something that no other politician would dream of doing… and I respect Paul immensely for doing it.
After his speech, I had the opportunity to tell him so. We spoke for about twenty minutes, took a few pictures, and he even signed an autograph for me to take back to my grateful staff. I now can say without hesitation that Ron Paul is the one exception to my rule about politicians. And though I may not agree with him on every single issue, I believe him to be an honorable man and that more than makes up for any differences we may have.

I love that guy!
